What is IOSS?
IOSS, or the Import One-Stop Shop, is a system designed to simplify VAT payment on goods imported into the EU. With IOSS, you’ll enjoy:

At Stealthvape UK, we’ve successfully integrated IOSS with our existing shipping options, including DHL, UPS, and Royal Mail, providing seamless delivery and customs processing for EU customers. This system has been working smoothly to simplify your shopping experience. Now, we’re introducing DHL eCommerce to offer significantly more competitive shipping rates to countries such as Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.

In the image, the section highlighted with the red circle shows that no tax (VAT) has been applied, indicating that IOSS does not apply to this transaction. Conversely, the section with the green circle shows that tax (VAT) has been accounted for, confirming that IOSS is applied for this transaction. This distinction ensures clarity when reviewing your checkout summary.
Special Shipping Rates with DHL eCommerce
Our partnership with DHL eCommerce brings you competitive shipping rates to key EU destinations. Currently, IOSS integration is available for shipments to Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Shipments to the Netherlands are supported via DHL eCommerce but are currently processed as DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid).
Important: With DDU shipments, the recipient will be responsible for paying customs charges, VAT, and potentially duty, along with an administrative fee, upon delivery. These costs are not included at checkout and must be settled before receiving the package.

- What happens if I go over the €150 limit? If your order’s intrinsic value exceeds €150 (approximately £125), IOSS does not apply. Your order will be processed as DDU, and you will need to pay customs charges, VAT, and potentially duty along with administrative fees upon delivery.
- Why is DDU different from IOSS? With DDU, taxes and fees are not included in your checkout total. Instead, they are calculated by customs in the destination country and must be paid upon delivery. IOSS simplifies this process by including these fees upfront.
- How long does delivery take with DHL eCommerce? Delivery times depend on the destination. With IOSS, delivery is typically faster due to prepaid customs clearance. DDU shipments may take longer due to processing at customs.
Important Information for Orders Over £125
If your order’s intrinsic value (the value of the goods excluding VAT and shipping) exceeds £125, you can still take advantage of DHL eCommerce shipping. However, please note that customs charges, VAT, and potentially duty, along with an administrative fee, will be applied by the destination country. These costs are certain and must be paid by the recipient upon delivery. We recommend keeping this in mind when placing larger orders.
